Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Review

Finally!

I have got my hands on the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte lipsticks! After a long wait for them to be released I thought the wait would be even longer for them to be available in the UK but luckily enough www.cultbeauty.co.uk was on form!

I purchased them as soon as I got the email saying they were available, knowing that they would go out of stock quickly I picked 3 of the colours which looked like the ones I would enjoy the most. I picked Trendsetter, Icon & Bombshell.

Trensetter & Bombshell are the perfect nude colours where as Icon is a beautiful pinky/red colour I have been looking for this type of shade for so long!
I can not beleive how smooth & lightweight the formula feels on my lips & am so impressed!
When Huda Beauty said they are not like any other liquid lipstick I was very intruiged to how they would be different but they feel so moisturizing on the lips!

The formula does not crack, smudge or flake throughout the day & you can re apply if needed without feeling like you have a ton of product on.

Overall I am very pleased with this product and cant wait to purchase more! I hope more brands come out with a similar formula in the future as it has taken liquid lipstick to a whole new level!

Down below is a link to my youtube video for a full review & swatches of the colours! I hope you enjoy.

Easy Navy Blue Smokey Eye

Hi everyone!

Its been a while since I have posted anything on my blog & i'm sorry juggling moving house, work, youtube & everyday life has just meant that I have been short for time to sit down and give my blog some attention.

However, I finally have some more time on my hands now and thought id write about my latest youtube tutorial for you!

I feel lately that I have not been doing many dramatic looks for my channel and those are the looks that most people tend to want help on, So I created this beautiful Navy Blue Smokey eye using two of my absolute favourite makeup Palettes which are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette & The Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Palette.

The reason I love these palettes so much is because they are so versatile, You are able to create a look thats super natural to full on drama depending which technique you use.

If you do not have these palettes along as you have similar coloured eyeshadows this look could still be created, I added some beautiful Silver glitter to the lid for some sparkle & the biggest pair of lashes I own for a statement look.

To learn how I created this look here is a link to my youtube tutorial of it, I hope you enjoy the video and please don't forget to click subscribe to my channel & comment any thoughts down below I love hearing and answering to all of your comments so please don't forget to do so!

MAC Lipstick Collection & Swatches

Hi Everyone!

Today I am finally going to show you swatches of my MAC Lipstick Collection!
This was a request for me to make a video on them on youtube which I enjoyed doing so much! (scroll down for video)

Lip Swatch videos are honestly one of my favourite type of video to create and I had so much fun editing this one.

I have had so many MAC lipsticks that I have purchased all over the years, and I very rarely use them anymore, they are like ornaments on my vanity because I have discovered so many different brands now which are much more inexpensive and great quality. I find MAC has risen the price of their lipsticks a little bit to high now for what they are I do not think spending that much on them is necessary having risen in price over £3 in a short amount of time I do not think they are worth it. Some of the formulas on the matte lipsticks are very drying and do not feel comfortable on the lips, where as other textures barely show pigment of colour.

However, it is not all bad, some of my old faithfuls which I will always stock up on are from MAC there are so many nude shades which I love such as Myth, Blankety, Velvet Teddy, Verve & Cherish. These are some lipsticks that I will always have in my kit.

Another great thing about MAC lipsticks are the range of colours they carry to suit any skin tone and personality, even though I am a nude lip lover I do love a vampy dark lip or pop of colour every once in a while so there are perfect shades for any look by MAC.

I Hope you enjoy the video, Please Like if you would like to see me swatch more lip brands as I have a never ending amount of lip products.

Summer Festival Makeup

Hi everyone!

As you all know summer is finally here and festival season is upon us!
I decided to create this fun colourful look for you so you can look unique and cute in festivals! Scroll Down for a Youtube tutorial on this look!

I have used products that are practical for festivals and the hot summer season! You will not be needing to carry all of the contents in your makeup bag for this look, if your like my my makeup is my life and the thought of taking it to a festival and leaving it in a tent is enough to make me not want to take it at all!
So I Have chose a limited amount of product to create this look so you will not have to carry much of your makeup with you.

I have also chosen products that are lightweight but last all day so you can put it on in the morning and not have to think about re applying until the next day, we all know that festivals are hot and you'll be dancing etc. so you need to use products that last to ensure your face stays on :)

Primer oil - to keep skin hydrated

Concealer - to cover those stubborn under eye circles

BB Cream - To hydrate the skin while providing coverage

Eyeshadow Palette - To save carrying many single shadows

Mascara & Falsies - To look glam and open up the eye

Liquid Lipstick - To last all day without having to re-apply

Hilighter - To give you that nice summer glow!

This Eyeshadow with a pop of colour is enough to make you stand out from the crowd without looking too 'out there' its wearable, girly and fun. I really enjoyed creating this look and I Hope you will too!!
I used the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani for this look because it has a variety of colours that are fun and natural at the same time.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial don't forget to subscribe to my channel & Like, Comment and tag me in any looks you re-create I love to hear from you :)

Have fun xoxo

Easy Inexpensive Drugstore Makeup.

Hi Everyone!!
Summer is on it's way so you need to get those bold lipsticks out!
I grudge spending money on high end bold lipsticks because I don't use them often enough to get my money's worth! That's why I adore drugstore lipsticks for these looks!

I wanted to Create a look with this Revlon Colour Burst Lip Crayon and because it is from the drugstore it inspired me to do a whole face tutorial using ONLY drugstore makeup!
I was pretty nervous to how it would look because Im always wary that they don't blend as well or don't last as long but I am happy to say that I proved myself wrong, I have made a post previously which I still believe in that it is not what you use but how you use it that matters!

I was very pleased with how this makeup look turned out and I hope you will be too, I created a full coverage foundation with a natural smokey eye & a bold coral/red lip.

This is my first talk through video on youtube so I could speak about how I apply my makeup in a little more detail for you :)

Please watch and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more beauty & lifestyle videos xoxo

6 Inexpensive & Easy Steps for Clearer Skin & get rid of Dark Circles

Hi everyone!
Today I thought I should do a quick skincare post for you guys of steps I have taken & that has made my skin look like new!

Having suffered with mild acne while I was growing up I have never thought my skin looked nice, it has always had scarring, dark circles underneath the eye and just a very patchy look when I am barefaced.

Because I am such a makeup junkie and like everything looking flawless I now make sure my skin is always at its best it can be so I have a smooth blank canvas to work on.
I am also a big believer in starting anti ageing routines young to prevent any damage before it arises.
Taking care of your skin is a process you have to add to your daily routine and be patient with, miracles are not going to happen overnight but if you stick to it and make it part of your routine you will soon see results.

Here are my 6 steps to clearer & younger looking skin without spending too much money:

1. This is the obvious step, but cleansing your face before you go to bed is one of the
most important steps to clearer skin, I don't mean rubbing a baby wipe quickly and then your done unfortunately. You need to cleanse your skin properly with a mild soap & water (I highly recommend Crystal Clear Skin Soothing Gel) to remove any excess makeup, dirt or products from the skin.

2. After cleansing your face with soap & water you then need to take a makeup remover I am big on using natural products as I said because you know there is no crap in them and when it comes to your skin you do not need artificial crap on it. Apple Cider Vinegar is a brilliant makeup remover and is amazing at fighting acne, (I do recommend diluting it with water as it can sting around the eye area if applied neat) rub on your face with a cotton pad (you will be surprised how much makeup still comes off even ddo you cannot see it on your face after washing it)

3. Next I love using a Vitamin C serum, I always try to go for organic products because they are gentler on the skin and to me the less smell on the product the better, I hate using heavy perfumed products on my face as it is obviously not natural. Vitamin C helps boost collagen in the skin to make it appear firmer & also helps fade any pigmentation on the skin (dark circles, scars etc.) those are just two examples of its many benefits.

4. Next step is Hydrochloric Acid (sounds scarier that it is I promise) this is very big in the skincare industry at the moment, some people say it can reduce the look of fine lines & wrinkles, which is true, but only very effective if you inject it internally. However, if you like me are using it on top on the skin it is a great moisturiser it traps moisture in your face to keep it hydrated so it is great if you have dry skin, use it in moderation I tend to use this maybe 2-3 times a week. This step is definately optional, there is a lot of controversy weather it actually does anything if it is not injected into the skin but I deffinately feel it has made a difference to me so I am happy to use it every now and again.

5. The final step to my everyday skincare routine is Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and lots of it! This is the best moisturiser I have ever used. I smother my face in it and let it soak in, Olive oil is great because it penetrates deep into the skins surface and has many antioxidants, anti ageing elements & vitamins that help nourish and cleanse the skin. I even add olive oil to my bath occasionally and come out feeling so soft it is amazing! Use olive oil on your face and you will thank me in the long run trust me.

6. If your like me & suffer from dark circles underneath the eyes and have tried all the products in the world to try and get rid of them and they wont budge. Then you need to read this. Natural products have got rid of them for me and they are so simple to come across you will not believe.

Lemon: brilliant for brightening skin, just apply some lemon juice to the under eye area (or area that has dark pigmentation) being careful to avoid getting it into the eye and let it soak in repeat this process about 3 times a week and you will see them starting to fade.

Potato: yes, as crazy as it sounds potatoes can become a part of your beauty routine, cut it and apply the inside of the potato to the affected area for 5-10 mins and you will see a difference. So simple, inexpensive & effective

Orange peel: Next time you eat an orange do not throw away the skin, apply it underneath your eyes and let it sit for 10 mins as crazy as it sounds do this often enough and you will see results, the citric acid in orange peel has bleaching agents that can help get rid of pigmentation.

I hope you enjoyed these 6 easy steps to clearer fresher looking skin. I would like to add that everyone is different, these steps work brilliantly for me but does not mean that will be the case for everyone, you need to play around and try everything to see what works best for you. All I have to say is I highly recommend using natural remedies when dealing with your skin because too many harsh chemicals can not be good for it, I will have a detailed skincare video going up on my youtube very soon so Subscribe to my Channel & keep an eye out for it!

Thankyou for reading xoxo

How to French Braids with hair extensions

Hi everyone! Finally figured out how to get long & thick french braids using hair extensions and have done a tutorial on it for you all :)!

In this look I have used two wefts of Beauty Works hair extensions clipped into my hair.

Practice makes perfect when it comes to french braids so if you fail the first time do not worry it took me so long to be able to master it! If your like me and would do anything to have long hair naturally but it takes forever to grow this is a brilliant solution which will not damage your hair.

French braids are in fashion at the moment and its a brilliant way to look glam without putting the effort in, team the braids up with a hat for a casual look or dress yourself up and do your makeup ultra glam for a more formal look.

It is super easy to do & you will love it once you get the hang of it, it did take a few goes for me to master how to do it but i have tried to explain it as best as i can in the video for you!

Best Foundation? Review.

Hi everyone!!

I know how hard it is when your looking to try a new foundation but just don't know which one to go for.. So here is my honest review on all the ones I currently own.

I have tried many foundations over the years, so feel free to ask me about any. However, this review is only on the ones i currently own. Please comment below I would love to hear which ones you would recommend and your faves! the next ones on my list are Makeup Forever Ultra HD & Armani luminous silk.

Please bare in mind that everyone is unique, and different skin reacts differently to certain foundations, one foundation that might be amazing for one person does not mean that is going to be the case for you. Best thing to do while searching for a new foundation is go to a department store, get a colour match & ask if you can take a sample home to try out before spending money on it.

BENEFIT COSMETICS
Play Sticks - Jumprope - £26.50

I was so exited to try this product when I heard about it because it sounded like the ideal product to contour with.
It is the perfect colour its quite ash toned so ideal to create shadow. I mainly use this to contour my nose & forehead, because it is not much darker than my foundation shade so it is ideal to contour the areas of the face you do not want to look too harsh/warm.
This does not give an intense enough effect on the cheekbone for me it is not dark enough.
The product glides on lovely but you need to work fast with it as it dries quickly & matte. Blend into the face with a damp beauty blender for best effect. I would recommend this product.

REVLON
Photoready HD Foundation - £8.99

This foundation is one of my favourite
drugstore foundations. It is very affordable and has great coverage, it does not dry too matte which I like and lasts reasonably well on the skin.
Can be a little bit heavy for daily wear I would recommend using this for when you want a more full coverage look.
The only downside to this product is when you finish it there is no way to open the container to get what is left of the foundation out the pot so I feel a lot of the product goes to waste when it does not pump out anymore. I would recommend this product.

SMASHBOX
Studio Skin Foundation - £29.00

LOVE this foundation! This is currently my absolute favourite. The coverage is brilliant and it lasts all day long it claims 15 hour wear and it is true. What I love about it the most is it does not dry matte, it leaves your skin looking hydrated and gives it a nice glow without looking too wet & sticky.
One layer of this is enough to cover all your imperfections but does not look cakey on the face at all, it is build able for an absolutely flawless look build up the coverage with two coats.
Another thing I love is when you order this foundation off smash box website you get to choose two free samples of their other products swell and the samples are always a great size and lasts ages. I only have good things to say about this product as it is my current favourite.

NARS
Sheer Glow Foundation - £31.00

This is the first foundation I bought after I stepped out of my MAC comfort zone. Unfortunately I was disappointed, this foundation is even called sheer glow but on my face it was very dry and matte. My skin is quite dry anyway so anything matte just goes patchy on me. I tried spraying MAC Fix+ on my face too add a bit more of a sheen to the skin but it just made the foundation separate and did not agree with it. Coverage is good, and the colour was a perfect match, but the product itself just did not work for my skin. I would not recommend this, especially for the price.

MAYBELINE
FIT Me - £7.99

I have always been skeptical on buying drugstore foundations because I have tried so many bad ones in the past. However I do not want to be using my High End makeup for work, running errands etc. Also after trying the Revlon Photoready I thought id give another brand a go. This foundation is great for daily use, nice sheer coverage & blends really nicely. I do have to apply two coats of it to stop it from being streaky while applying with a brush though because it is quite thin & liquid like. When i wear it by the end of the day my face is a little bit patchy but it is ideal for me to wear to work. Its a good foundation for the price and to wear for a short period of time but if you need full coverage and it to last all day, this will not be the one for you.

MAC COSMETICS
Studio Sculpt - £25.50

If your looking for very full coverage this foundation is great! Very little product goes far and it blends lovely. It is not very long lasting because it never seems to set & not ideal to wear in hot weather because it feels like its melting off your face, it does stay quite sticky on the face so I would recommend setting it with some translucent powder. The packaging is great because you can really make sure you use every last drop of the product with it. This was the first foundation I ever tried from MAC therefore I have a soft spot for it and always find myself making sure I am stocked up because I love to mix a blob of it in with other foundations because the coverage is great.

BOURJOIS
123 Perfect - £10.99

I bought this because I have heard many people rave about the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, however they did not have my colour in stock at the time so I decided to go for this one instead. It did not work for me at all, it is very dry on the skin and does not blend well at all. The colour is very ashy/grey looking and just looks like patchy dirt on the face. It claims to have colour correcting particles in it but it just made my face a really horrible colour. I would not recommend this foundation to anyone.

MAC COSMETICS
Studio Fix Fluid - £22.00

When I first bought this foundation I fell in love with it. Great Coverage, Lasted really well & at the time I liked my face looking more matte so it was perfect. Downside with the packaging is you have to buy the pump separately (and it is pretty expensive for just a pump!) After time my skin must have changed because now this foundation does not work for me, I do not like the matte foundation look on myself anymore and it did start to go patchy after long hours of wear. My skin does change frequently and I have to chop and change my makeup to suit my skins needs quite often. I would recommend this foundation if you like a matte full coverage look.

EYES LIPS FACE
Flawless Finish Foundation - £7.50

When I ordered this I had to order it online because there is no store that stocks it near where I live but for the cheap price I gave it a go. Unfortunately the colour I ordered was way too dark for me and I did not use this foundation at all. However, I did have an idea one day and thought of using it to contour my face because it is too dark. It worked great blended brilliantly with a beauty blender for a nice soft contour. The foundation itself it quite thick & the pump it came with is not great because it tends to splat everywhere when you use the pump. Im yet to try this all over my face but i would recommend it for contouring.
